Here is a pair of Mike Balter 43R John Piper Model, Vibe Mallets, Medium, Rattan Handles. These mallets are the SAME as those currently sold as:
Balter Artist Series Rattan JP1 Medium John Piper
These mallets are VERY similar to the Balter cord vibraphone mallets, and they seem to be a tad softer than the Balter Blue cord mallets. One can always cut off the foam if not liked. Those with sweaty palms might like the foam.
These slightly used mallets that I am selling due to retirement sound great and feel great. They come with the original black foam that is meant to keep the rattan from clicking when two are held in one hand with Burton or Traditional grips
The shafts are close to perfectly straight with slight wear on the cord but no broken strands.
15 1/2" total length for the mallet.
5/16" rattan diameter
Mallet head 1-3/8" diameter and 1-1/2" long
Mallets have my initials marked on them
